Push Pier Installation - Basye, VA

Challenge

This home in Basye, Virginia had some significant cracking on the outside of the home due to foundation settlement. The home owner was worried about what this would mean for his home in the future. He wanted to know his home would be stable, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions to give him some clarification on just how to do that. 

Solution

   After our System Designer Jamey went to the home and evaluated the situaion, he decided the best solution would be our Push Pier system. 

   Following the free estimate we provded, the custyomer decided to have this system installed and our Foreman Robert Burger took his crew to Basye to begin the project. The crew began by removing soil to reveal the foundation footing. Then steel brackets are put in and a steel pier is hydraulically driven through the bracket and into the bedrock or until stable soil is reached. So the home will actually be resting on the piers and not the unstable soil as it once was. These piers are able to quickly be installed and causes minimal disturbance to the landscaping in the area.
