Fortress identified signs and examples of when you might need waterproofing services done in your home. There are identifiable signs that begin to show when water is getting into your home. We looked at a home in Brookneal, VA to show a few signs that they may need waterproofing in their basement. One of the key identifiers is mold, smells of mildew or the identification of mold in your foundation & insulation can become very unhealthy to you and your family. Many times, chronic illnesses in the households come from mold. Any wet floors or drainage coming into your basement is also a big problem that will eventually lead to mold and other household problems. It’s also a sign that water has been getting in when the home begins to show rust spots or have bug problems.
