Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing - Bluefield, VA

The homeowners in Bluefield, VA were looking to remodel this basement. The first step in this process for these homeowners was handling the water issues they were having. After calling Fortress Foundation Solutions, our Appointment Center was able to send our System Designer, Paul Heckman to provide a free estimate. After a close look at the basement, Paul could see there was water making its way into the basement through the foundation walls. Paul also knew that the basement was holding a lot of moisture. Paul's solution for these homeowners was our WaterGuard system, Triple Safe sump pump, and Cleanspace wall. These products allowed the homeowners to have a water free basement, while also allowing them the flexibility to finish this basement.

Prep work for WaterGuard

Our Foreman Charlie Evans and his crew began work by prepping the perimeter of the basement for the system.

Once the concrete around the perimeter of the basement is ready to be removed, the crew cleans out the area for the Waterguard and Triple Safe to be installed.

Triple Safe and Waterguard

Once the area is cleaned out, the crew cuts and lays the Waterguard to the correct length needed. They also installed the sump pump and began on the discharge that is connected to the sump pump to get the water out of the home.

Clean Space wall & Final Product

The crew finished the Waterguard system by covering the area with fresh cement for a clean, flush finish. Finally the crew installed our Clean space wall. This not only allows for a brighter area but also acts as a barrier to keep the moisture out of the basement.
