Basement Waterproofing - Rustburg, VA
Challenge
A concerned customer came to us wanting to find a solution to their wet basement problems. Water was seeping through the cinderblock walls of this unfinished room and it seemed like the sump pump he had was simply not enough to keep up with all the water intrusion. This was becoming quite an nuisance for this homeowner, so he decided to call Fortress Foundation Solutions to illuminate the best way to stabilize his leaky basement.
Solution
Fortress sent our System Designer Zach Bullock to present a free, no obligate estimate for this homeowner. He proposed that our Water Guard system and an additional sump pump would be the best fit for the problems the customer was facing, he also recommended a Clean Space liner to seal out any moisture from the basement walls.
After determining the best course of action, our Foreman Aaron Looney and his crew went out to the home to begin the installation process.
First, they put in our Water Guard system around the perimeter of the basement wall. This is designed to catch any seepage coming through the walls and also any water leaking from wall/floor joints. Another perk is that it is almost invisible after installation.
Next, we added one of our Super Sump pumps to help the existing one the customer had push out the water from the Water Guard system to the outside of the home. This system can pump up to 2,280 gallons per hour. WOW!
Finally, to act as a continuous moisture barrier, the crew put in our Clean Space liner on the basement walls. It is very fast and easy to put in and it is also very efficient.
