Water Guard Installation - Lynchburg, VA
Challenge
This property in Lynchburg, Virginia had a hassle with water leaking into the basement at the seams of the walls. It became very irritating to the owner, so they gave us a call here at Fortress Foundation Solutions. One the day of the appointment, our System Designer Ed Vest went to the property to see what could be accomplished to make this basement waterproof. He determined that the best remedy for this leaky basement would be our Water Guard French drain system, and for the walls, our Clean Space vapor barrier.
Solution
To begin the project, we sent one of our Foreman and his crew to t he property. First, they laid down our Water Guard French drain system. This system is placed at the footer of the foundation to catch any water that would come through the walls. It is kept out of the "mud zone", the point where clogged drains are common. The unique shape and large drain openings also aid in preventing clogs. Next, the crew put up our Clean Space vapor barrier to keep moisture out of the basement. Our crew left this owner very pleased with their waterproof basement!
