Basement Waterproofing - Lynchburg, VA

Challenge

This homeowner in Lynchburg, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions regarding their flooded basement. After heavy rains the homeowners noticed water was making its way into the home. Cleaning up the water was becoming a hassle and they knew they had to resolve the issues. Our System Designer, Robert Briggs was able to go out to this home and discuss a solution for this problem. Robert suggested our WaterGuard system to help keep water out of the basement.   

Solution

Our Forman, Jacob and his crew began work on this home. The crew began by prepping the area of the basement for the system to be set. Our WaterGuard system sits on footer and captures any water that comes in to the home.

The crew also prepped the are for our TripleSafe sump pump. Once this area was ready, the crew then laid the WaterGuard and the Triplesafe. The next step was to run an outside discharge from the sump to an area outside of the home. The location of the discharge was discussed with the homeowner by Robert. The final step to installing this system was to fill in the area that the crews prepped with fresh drainage stone and then cover the system with fresh cement.
