1800's Plantation Home in Halifax, VA
Challenge
These Halifax, VA homeowners had recently purchased this 1800's plantation home, when they discovered water coming into the basement. They wanted a company with experience who would be knowledgable about working in older homes - they called Fortress Foundation Solutions.
Solution
System designer, Sonny Kingsbury, went out to meet with the homeowners. Sonny has provided many successful solutions for homes in the 100+ age range and enjoys investigating and designing systems with older building methods. After providing a free estimate, the homeowners agreed. Soon Service Manager, Kevin Ensley, was onsite with a crew installing the WaterGuard drainage system which directs all water entering the basement to the Triple Safe Sump Pump. This pump has a back-up battery, if the power goes out, the pump will still function. Now this Halifax, VA homeowner can enjoy the charm and beauty of this historic home without having to worry about a wet basement!
