Leaking Walls Fixed Near Rohrersville, MD
Challenge
A homeowner near Rohrersville, MD had vertical cracks on the outside of their foundation. Inside, the poured walls also had cracks and were allowing water to come in. The wall paneling was damaged, the flooring was ruined and they could no longer use the space. Desperate for a solution, they called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate.
Solution
System Designer Chris Wilmouth went out to find a solution to this problem. He completed a full inspection. His recommendation was to install our WaterGuard WaterProofing System. The first step in this system is to jack hammer a trench around the perimeter of the affected area. WaterGuard, our patented drainage pipe, is set in the trench with gravel and covered with concrete. The WaterGuard directs all water to the TripleSafe sump pump. This is our strongest pump and has a backup battery in case the power goes out. To solve the problem of the leaking walls, our CleanSpace is installed. This antimicrobial material directs all water downward into the WaterGuard where it can be removed. Wall covering can be put over the CleanSpace making it great for living spaces. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier is installed. This removes excess moisture from the air keeping the area dry. Now this homeowner has a safe, healthy downstairs area they can enjoy as a positive living space again!
