Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing - Lynchburg, VA

This Lynchburg, VA homeowner called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns about water coming into the home after heavy rain events. Our System Designer, was able to go out and take a look at the issue that the homeowners were facing. After a close look, the best solution would be out Water Guard system. This system goes around the perimeter of the basement and collects water that comes in. The water is then pumped out of the home through our sump pump.

Sump Pump

In this photo you can see the crew has prepped the perimeter of the home for the system. They have installed the sump pump and attached the discharge lines for the water to be pumped out of the home.

Water Guard

This photo shows after the Water Guard has been place in the trench. The crew cover the system with crushed stone.

Completed Sump pump installation

Once the crew poured the stone, they lay fresh cement over the system for a clean look to this area.

Outside Discharge

In this photo you can see that the crew dug the area for the discharge. This allows to the water to exit the home without the worry of the water coming back to the home. This discharge will be covered back up with the dirt that was removed so you will not be able to see this white pipe.
