This homeowner in Lexington, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns of water intrusion in the basement of this home. The water made its way in through the foundation after rain events.
Our System Designer, Caleb Stone was able to visit with the homeowners and provide them with an estimate for a solution. After a close look at the issues, Caleb knew the best solution was out Water Guard system. This system goes around the perimeter of the home and directs water to the sump pump where it is then carried away from the home through an outside discharge. This solution insured that the homeowners would never see the basement flood again!
Before
This photo shows you the basement before out crews began work. The drywall on the wall was removed to allow easier access to the crew.
Sump Pump
In this photo the crew has installed our sump pump. The crew started by prepping the perimeter of the basement so the sump pump and water guard can be installed. They then cut and lay the Water Guard. Then they follow in with crush drainage stone.
Final Result
This photo shows the final product of the system. Once everything is installed and tested, the crew seals the area with a fresh layer of cement to make this basement return to new!
