Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Providence Dr., Patrick Springs, VA, Basement Waterproofing
Jason H. of Patrick Springs, VA, had started finishing his basement for added living space when water began coming in. Realizing he needed help, he called Fortress Foundation Solutions. System designer, Chris Guill, met with Patrick to hear about his plans and concerns. After inspecting the basement, Chris provided a same-day, no cost estimate. Ready to move forward, Jason agreed. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite. They began by jack hammering a trench around the perimeter of the basement. Next they placed the WaterGuard drainage system into the trench, which would catch any water entering the home and drain it to the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump has a battery backup so it will run even if the power goes out. CleanSpace vapor barrier is a antimicrobial installed on the walls. Any water entering the block would be directed into the WaterGuard with this barrier. It adds a bright, clean look to the space as well. Finally, the trench was covered back over with concrete. To keep the basement dry, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was put in. This dehumidifier removes moisture from the air keeping mold, mildew and damp smells away. Now Jason's basement is dry and he can continue finishing it off for added living space.
BEFORE - Evidence of water coming in through this block wall
It's important to water proof walls if water comes in through the block.
WaterGuard Trench
This perimeter trench will hold the WaterGuard that drains all water to the sump pump.
Triple Safe Sump Pump
Our most powerful pump, this sump pumps water out of the basement.
Trench and CleanSpace
The trench is ready for the WaterGuard and this roll of CleanSpace Vapor Barrier will be put on the walls.
AFTER - Triple Safe Sump Pump & SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
The Triple Safe has a battery back up so it will function if the power goes out. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier will keep the moisture low and the basement dry.
