Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Dry Basement on Gibson St, Fredericksburg, VA
James H. of Fredericksburg, VA, experienced water entering his basement workshop after every rainfall. Eager to return to the hobby he loves, he called Fortress Foundation Solutions. He met with Todd Simmons, System Designer, who quickly diagnosed the problem and proposed a permanent solution. Ready for relief, James signed the paperwork to get started. Soon, a Fortress Waterproofing crew was on-site. First, they carefully created a trench around the perimeter of the basement. Next, they installed the WaterGuard drainage system into the trench, adding gravel and sloping it to flow toward the Triple Safe Sump Pump. The Triple Safe pump is installed into the floor with a closed lid. Following this, cement was mixed, poured over the trench, and smoothed to the surface of the floor. Once the cement dried, the system was ready to go! Now, James is back using his basement workshop to apply his skills in making wood creations. He no longer deals with mold, mildew, or musty smells!
