Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: From Open & Smelly to Sanitary & Healthy!
This basement near Glenelg, MD, had an open sump pump. Moisture and odors would freely drift into the basement creating mold, mildew and stinky smells! The homeowner called Fortress Foundation Solutions wanting to get rid of those problems and have a healthier home! System Designer Paul Heckman, went out for an inspection and provided a free estimate. Eager to fix these issues, the homeowner agreed. Soon Travis Farmer and his crew were onsite installing a WaterGuard System, Triple Safe Sump Pump and a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier.
Old Open Sump Pump
This open sump allows moisture ,which leads to mold and mildew, to freely come into the basement. It was also ineffective at pumping the water that came in during big rains.
System Freshly Installed
Once the WaterGuard and Trench Drain are set, they are covered over with concrete which will dry and can be covered with flooring making the system barely undetectable.
Flush, Covered & Healthy!
This Triple Safe Sump pump is flush with the floor, has a battery back up and because of the specially designed lid, won't let moisture or odors into the home.
