Wet Basement & Structural Repair in Bedford, VA

When 3 siblings recently purchased this Fairlawn Dr. Bedford, VA home, they were looking forward to making family memories. After removing the finished walls in the basement, they found stair step cracks in the block. System Designer Chris Guill, came out to access and provide a free estimate. After consideration the siblings agreed to move forward. To lift and stabilize the home, David Bowers and his crew soon arrived to install Push Piers. Now the basement can be converted to usable living space and these siblings can enjoy great times together for many years to come!

This Church Community in Bedford Virginia was getting constant water in their fellowship hall. They called our Fortress Team to create the best solution. System Designer, Paul Heckman, did his thorough inspection and sent our Foreman, Adam Milles and this Production Crew, out to install our Water Guard Drainage System. This System catches any water getting in and directs it to our Triple Safe Sump Pump, which than run the water back outside to ensure the fellowship hall with remain dry. 

This homeowner in Bedford, VA had issues with a dark and musty crawl space. After heavy rains water would rush into the crawl space. This could cause major issues if it is not repaired in a timely manor. 

After calling Fortress Foundation Solutions, our System Designer was able to com out to the home and provide a free no obligate estimate. After a close look at the home, Our System Designer knew the best solution to the problem was an encapsulation. 

Our Foreman, and his crew then came out to the home on the day of installation. The crew began by leveling the crawl space. They stared taking out any debris a cleaning the area to work. Then they laid down drainage matting through out the crawl space. This allows water to puddle under the matting. They then installed our Clean Space vapor barrier. This protects the home from the outside element while keeping the crawl space clean. The final result was a water free area.

Our System Designer,  was able to go out to the home and give these homeowners a piece of mind with a permanent solution. The best way to fix this issue was installing our WaterGuard system, along with our Triplesafe sump pump. Our Foreman, and his crew went out to the home and began to install these products. The crew began preparing the perimeter of the basement for the WaterGuard. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew then installed the Triplesafe sump pump. An outside discharge is also installed on the sump pump to allow the water to be pumped out of the basement.  We also followed in with drainage stone over top of the WaterGuard. This crushed stone allows the water to easily flow to the WaterGuard, and then to the sump pump. Once the system and the stone are laid, new cement is laid over the system to give it a finished look. The end result was a dry basement that would last years to come.

Our crew went out to fix the issue by preparing the area for installation to protect the concrete and any surrounding landscaping. Then they drill 5/8-inch hole and pump foam to stabilize and lift concrete to return it to its initial leveling point. (May require multiple holes.) Once the foam has been injected, the holes will be patched with a concrete sealer. The install area will be cleaned and ready for use.
