Concrete Leveling Photo Album: Concrete Repair at an Auto Shop Near Savage, MD
This auto repair shop near Savage, MD was concerned about their sidewalks. Over time, the concrete had dropped creating a tripping hazard. Wanting to protect their customers, they called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free concrete lifting estimate. System Designer Mary Kaye Sumner met with the shop owner, completed an inspection and explained the benefits of our PolyLevel Foam System. The polyurethane foam weighs approximately 4-6 pounds per cubic foot when installed, in comparison to traditional mortar-based material which weighs 120 pounds per cubic foot. Calculated reaction time of the expanding polyurethane foam allows for targeted, precise lifting of the slab. Polyurethane foam is fully waterproof, so it won't wash out, won't be impacted by freeze/thaw cycles and can be used to under-seal slabs and stop a variety of infrastructure leaks. Ready to make a decision, the shop owner agreed and soon Foreman Spencer Stottlemyer and his crew were onsite. They began by drilling holes, injecting the holes with poly foam and then filling the holes back in. They process does not take long. Soon customers were entering the shop again without tripping!
