Vapor Barrier In Lilburn Crawlspace

Challenge
Although this home’s crawlspace had plastic covering its floor, it was not properly keeping the moisture out - this caused the crawlspace to be very damp. Because of the damp air, efflorescence was growing on the concrete block walls.
Solution
The first project Fortress Foundation Solutions tackled upon arriving at the home was removing the plastic floor covering and replacing it with vapor barrier. Vapor barrier allows the crawlspace to mediate moisture and dampness much more efficiently. It can take care of the dampness better because of the EZ Flow drainage system that accompanies the vapor barrier. This drainage system immediately captures all of the water that may enter the crawlspace to ensure that it does not spread and remain in the space.
