Crawlspace Encapsulation - Lyndhurst, VA
Challenge
This homeowner in Lyndhurst, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns of her floors sagging and moisture in the crawl space. Our System Designer, Zach, went out to assess this situation and decided the best solution, was to encapsulate the crawl space and replace the beams that made the floor sag.
Solution
With Zach's solution, our Foreman Aj and his crew were able to install the following products for a permanent solution. After leveling the crawlspace our crew laid drainage matting and a vapor barrier to keep water out of the crawl space. We also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to alleviate any moisture that may come into the crawl space. We also installed a Everlast Door to seal the entry way into the crawl space and it also creates an airtight seal to prevent moisture from coming in. Finally we replaced rotting beams that would support the floors by fixing and also preventing any sagging. Our Customer was left with a clean and moisture free crawl space.
