Crawl Space encapsulation - Bedford, Va
Challenge
A home owner from Bedford, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions because he wanted to have his stand up crawl space cleaned up. He really did not go down there so he just wanted someone to check it out and see what needed to be done. One of our System Designers, Ed Vest, went to the home and gave a free estimate. He discovered some mold in the crawl space and some issues with water getting into the area. He decided the best solution would be to fully encapsulate the crawl space and add a sump pump and a dehumidifier to ensure this space would stay dry and protected.
Solution
Our foreman Aaron Looney took his crew to the home to begin the transformation. First, they got rid of all the mold with our Mold X spray. After that, the crew installed our Clean Space around the entire crawl space to seal it off from any moisture. They also added our Smart Sump pump, which actually has an alarm that goes off when water is detected in the crawl space. In addition to that, the crew put in a Sani Dry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity levels. With all these products installed, this ensured a clean, dry crawl space for this customer.
