Crawl Space Encapsulation & Smart Jack Installation - Charlotte Court House, VA
Challenge
A homeowner in Charlotte Court House was having problems with their crawl space. The area was experiencing excessive mositure which was also causing the floors above to sag, so they called us here at Fortress Foundation Solutions to have us help them out! One of our System Designers Zach Bullock went out to this home to provide a free estimate, and after assessing the situation, Zack decided the best fix for this problem would be to fully encapsulate the crawl space with our Clean Space vapor barrier. For the sagging floors, he recommended our Smart Jacks.
Solution
One of our Foremen, Aaron Looney and his crew went to the home to help fix the problems the customer was having. First, they installed our Smart Jacks which are made with strong, corrosion resistant, galvanized steel. They provide support to the area above and they can also lift failing floor joists or beams and return them to their original position. Next, the crew installed our Clean Space vapor barrier which acts as a layer of protection against any moisture that could get in to the crawl space. Our customer was very happy that their floors were being supported well and even happier that they would not have to worry about any more water getting into their crawl space.
