Fortress Foundation Solutions visited a home that was built on a concrete slab and a pier and beam foundation making it, a combination home. Unfortunately, the foundation of the home was built completely wrong, leaving the homeowner to fix the problem themselves. The homeowner initially called a different foundation repair company and started to notice the same problems only a few months later. Unknown to the homeowner, they only provided a temporary fix. It was obvious because cracks that they had repaired, reopened. 

 

After the headache of dealing with this for so long,  the homeowners knew it was time to call a company that would provide a permanent fix, Fortress Foundation Solutions. When we exposed the piers that needed to be removed, we found water resting inside the pier itself. This caused, even more, damage to their foundation.  They even had a termite issue due to the unfinished foundation and use of the wrong materials.

On the pier and beam part of the foundation, we used our SmartJack system designed to straighten and strengthen sagging floors over a crawl space foundation. For the slab foundation part of the home, we used our Push Pier system.
