Basement Waterproofing & Geolock Installation - Gordonsville, VA

Challenge

These homeowners noticed that their newly purchased home has some water getting into the basement through the walls. They also has some cracking on the esxterior of the home. They were worried about the effects of a leaking basement and a settling foundation, so they called us here at Fortress Foundation Solutions to help them out!

Solution

One of our system designers, Scott Llewelyn, made a trip to the home to assess the situation and decide the best route to take. To keep the foundation stable, he suggested they install our GeoLock Wall Anchor system, and to stop the water from coming into the basement, Scott suggested we install our Water Guard system along with a Sani Dry XP Dehumidifier. Once everything was planned out, our Foreman Robert Burger and his crew began the assignment.

First, they began excavating the area outside of the home to install the GeoLocks. These work by extending from the wall of the basement to the stable, hard packed soil and from there they anchor into the soil to prevent further movement. 

Next, the crew dug out the perimeter of the basement and put down our Water Guard system to catch any incoming water at the footer of the wall. From there it is lead to our Super Sump Plus, which catches all that water and pumps it to the outside of the home. 

Finally, we added a Sani Dry XP dehumidifier to control humidity levels and keep moisture out of the area. With all of these solutions combined, we left this homeowner with a dry basement and a stable foundation.
