Push Pier Installation - Lynchburg, VA
Challenge
This home in Lynchburg, Virginia had some cracks in their foundation. This was caused by the settlement of the foundation of the home over time. They were concerned about the stability of their home, so they called us here at Fortress Foundation Solutions. One of our System Designers, Chris Guill, went to the home and provided a free, no obligate estimate to assess the situation. Chris determined that the best way to solve this foundation problem would be to install our Push Pier system.
Solution
Once the customer agreed to the proposal, one of our Foreman Brian Davis and his crew began the work. The crew attached the piers next to the footing of the foundation with a heavy duty steel bracket. Once the stabilization and lifting process is complete, the piers are covered back up with soil and because these were installed on the inside of the basement, the crew also poured fresh concrete to finish the job. This method provided a permanent solution to the foundation settlement issues this home had.
