Do we run across interesting supports in older homes?
Solution
We sure do! This older home in Rockville, VA, had a brick foundation with many interesting support 'piers', including this log! No wonder they had uneven, sagging floors. They called Fortress Foundation Solutions for help. System Designer Jamey Elder, met with the homeowners for a free estimate. They were ecstatic to find out they could have our Smart Jack System installed for floor support. They also chose to encapsulate using our CleanSpace. This vapor barrier seals off the damp earth of the old cellar away from the home's wood structure to prevent mold, mildew and wood decomposition. Now this Rockville family can enjoy their home's level floors again and rest secure in the home's future.
