Water Intrusion and Foundation Settlement No More in Savage, MD

Challenge

A homeowner reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions. They were having water in the basement, as well as, multiple foundation cracks. The 'All Things Basementy' company, Fortress Foundation Solutions was happy to provide a free inspection.

Solution

Our expert System Designer Chris Guill completed a thorough inspection and provided a free estimate for all their problems. Knowing it could all be done at one time, they were elated! First, a WaterGuard system would be installed, carrying any water away and into a TripleSafe sump pump where it would be pumped out of the home. Next, a foundation wall in the basement was bowing inward. In this case, the best product was our Push Pier system installed from the interior to stabilize the foundation. After installation, the dirt is put back and concrete will cover the holes. The piers will then be undetectable. Once our WaterGuard and Push Pier systems were installed, the homeowner was thrilled to enjoy their healthy, stabilized home again.

This wall is bowing. Due to the compromised positioning, it is allowing water to flow into the basement.

A trench is carefully jackhammered around the perimeter of the basement for the WaterGuard. Sections are also opened up for the installation of Push Piers. They will go under the footer stabilizing the foundation.
