Foundation Repair Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing & Carbon Armor Install in Hurt, VA

The homeowners called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns about the foundation of this home. One foundation wall in this basement was allowing water to pour into the basement. After a close look by our System Designer, Chris Wilmouth, not only was that wall allowing water to come in, but the wall also had a slight bow. Chris knew the best solution to the water coming in was our WaterGuard system. Chris' solution to the bow in the foundation wall was our Carbon Armor Straps. These straps help to stabilize a foundation wall.

Water Damage and Cracking in Basement

In this photo you can see the cracking in the wall that was caused by the bowing wall. At the bottom of the wall you can see the stains that were caused from the water.

Sump Pump Installation

This photo shows after the crew prepped the area for the WaterGuard and the Sump Pump. The filled this area in with crushed drainage stone before applying a fresh layer of cement.

Sump Pump & Carbon Armor

This photo shows the completed job. This sump pump is ready to direct water out of the home. You can also see the Carbon Armor straps that the crew installed.

Discharge

This discharge is located on the outside wall where the sump pump is located. This is where the water goes once the water is pumped out of the sump. The water is released out in the yard away from the home.
