Fortress Foundation Solutions is here to help you with all things basementy! This basement in Moneta, Virginia had a wall that was bowing out, which created a long vertical crack across the wall. These are the first two signs of wall failure and shouldn't be ignored. System Designer, Sonny Kingsbury, inspected the basement and sent Foreman, Clarence Copeland, and his production crew, K'nell Harris, Jalvis Payne, and Larry Dabney, out to install our Power Brace Wall Support System. These Power Braces stopped the wall from going to complete failure.
Bowing Wall with Vertical Crack
This is what the wall in this homeowners basement looked like. You can see the vertical crack running all the way across the middle of the wall as well as a second crack starting to form above it.
Power Brace Wall Support System
These Power Brace Wall Support Beams are installed with a steel bracket that is secured to the floor joist above the wall that is bowing out.
