Erin, a homeowner in Middlebrook, VA, had been dealing with water intrusion in their basement for years. After hearing that their neighbor had trusted Fortress Foundation Solutions to solve a similar issue - and was thrilled with the results - Erin decided to give us a call.
Bill, one of our experienced System Designers, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the home and developed a customized solution. For the basement, he recommended our WaterGuard® interior drainage system, which was tied into a SuperSump Plus™ system to effectively collect and remove water before it could reach the living space.
The project also included the home's connected crawl space, which required a complete encapsulation. Our crew removed the existing insulation and debris, sealed the stacked stone walls with spray foam, installed SilverGlo™ wall insulation, laid drainage matting throughout the crawl space, and encapsulated the area with our durable CleanSpace® vapor barrier. To control humidity year-round, two SaniDry Sedona dehumidifiers were installed, along with a dedicated crawl space sump pump for additional water protection.
Thanks to this comprehensive waterproofing and encapsulation system, Erin now has a dry, healthy, and protected basement and crawl space that will provide peace of mind for years to come.
Jeffrey contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a crawl space inspection after learning about the damage excess moisture and humidity can cause beneath a home. During our inspection, we found conditions that could lead to long-term moisture-related issues if left unaddressed.
To protect the home from the ground up, Travis, Jack, and Mickey installed our CleanSpace® Crawl Space Encapsulation System. As shown in the after photos, the crawl space is now sealed and protected from excess moisture and humidity, creating a healthier environment beneath the home and helping prevent future damage.
Crawl space encapsulation in Maysville, West Virginia. Homeowners noticed sagging floors, high humidity, and musty odors coming from beneath their home. They called Fortress because we're the local experts in crawl space repair. Danny, one of our skilled System Designers, performed a free inspection and developed a customized plan to improve the crawl space and the overall health of the home. Nick and his crew professionally installed a complete encapsulation system, including waterproofing, SilverGlo™ insulation, a CleanSpace® vapor barrier, and a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier.
This customer was having multiple issues in his crawlspace, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate on the repair. We sent out our System Designer, Caleb Stone, to take a look, and after a thorough inspection, he designed a solution and gave the owner a quote. Shortly after the owner accepted the proposal, our Foreman, Charlie Evans, and his crew went out to do the project. After removing some debris, and mold with our Mold-X2, they installed some of our Push Piers to raise and correct the foundation of the house, and sealed the cracks with our NexusPro Crack Sealant. They then installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier for the moisture in the air, our SilverGlo Insulation on the walls, and our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier along the ground to make sure the crawlspace stays dry. Our customer loved the result!
