Before our intervention, this Virginia crawl space showed significant mold and excess moisture issues, reflecting a common but serious problem for homeowners. Upon inspection, we recognized the need for our CleanSpace and SaniDry Sedona systems to address the climate in the space. By installing CleanSpace, we provided a strong, long-lasting barrier against moisture and mold. Coupled with the efficiency of the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which efficiently controlled humidity, the after photo confirms a now clean, dry, and healthier environment demonstrating the high standards in crawl space repair offered by Fortress Foundation Solutions.
This customer came to us with concerns about their flooding crawlspace that was damp and cold. To keep the heat in the house from escaping though the crawlspace, Fortress foundation solutions installed SilverGlow insulation. Then, Fortress installed a drainage mat and a CleanSpace liner to waterproof the crawl space and address the damp and musty issues the customer was facing. Fortress also installed a SaniDry Sedona to ensure the crawl space would always be dry.
Sarah called Fortress Foundation Solutions to come out and provide a free inspection and estimate to encapsulate her home's crawl space. She had noticed musty smells in her home for a while but was unable to figure out why. She read online that moisture and humidity in crawl spaces could be the cause and decided to get it checked out.
Riley, one of our expert System Designers, went out to Sarah's property to perform an inspection and concluded that her crawl space was suffering from high humidity, moisture, and organic growth, all contributing to the musty smell she had been noticing. He presented these findings to Sarah, along with a proposal to fix the issues he had found. She was happy with our offerings and decided to move forward with the recommended work.
One of our crews was then scheduled to go out and do a full encapsulation of the crawl space. We utilized our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System, which starts off with our Delta Drainage Matting and is then covered by the CleanSpace barrier. Sarah also elected to install one of our Sedona Dehumidifiers to fully protect her crawl space from moisture and humidity.
Sarah reported that the musty smells have stopped and that she is so pleased to have her crawl space fully protected!
Genevieve’s crawl space in Ridgeway, Virginia was dealing with excess moisture, as shown in the before photo. The damp conditions created a real risk for mold growth and made the space less efficient overall.
To fix the problem, we encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace system to seal out moisture and create a cleaner, more controlled environment. We also installed SilverGlo insulation to help with temperature regulation and added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity levels in check.
The after photo shows the difference—a dry, well-protected crawl space that’s healthier and more energy efficient.
In Goodview, Mr. Page was dealing with ongoing moisture and damp air in his crawl space. Even though the space was smaller in size, excess humidity beneath the home was creating concerns about air quality and the potential for future moisture-related problems.
To create a healthier and more controlled environment, Travis and Jack installed a CleanSpace® vapor barrier throughout the crawl space to seal out ground moisture and help keep the area dry. A SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier was also installed to control humidity levels and improve air quality beneath the home.
As shown in the after photo, the crawl space is now cleaner, drier, and much better protected from future moisture issues. Mr. Page can now enjoy greater peace of mind knowing the area beneath his home has reliable, long-term moisture control in place.
