This dirty crawlspace in Christiansburg really needed a facelift. The crawlspace was sagging from the house settling and that was causing the floor to bow and crack. Fortress helped this family out by installing a CleanSpace Encapsulation and SmartJacks to support the floor. Now the crawl space is clean and can be used for storage and the floors are stable again.
In New Castle, VA, a homeowner contacted us due to concerning signs of wall shearing, noticeable in the before photo. To address this issue, we installed GeoLock Channel Anchors, engineering them strategically to stop further inward movement of the foundation wall. As seen in the after photo, the anchors are now holding the wall securely and are designed to gradually straighten the wall over time. Our expert intervention has stabilized the property, improving safety and protecting the homeowner's investment efficiently and effectively.
Before tackling this challenging crawl space repair in Catawba, VA, the homeowner was grappling with sagging floors - a common yet distressing issue. They called Fortress Foundation Solutions to meet with a highly trained System Designer. The System Designer completed an inspection and a free estimate for Smart Jacks. Smart Jacks are adjustable floor supports installed under a main beam or a supplemental beam. They can stabilize and often provide lift. These Smart Jacks not only rectified the problem but restored the homeowner’s peace of mind.
This homeowner in Stuart, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions because they had water intrusion in their crawl space and floors in their home had started sagging down.
After explaining all the issues they were having over the phone, we sent one of our System Designers out to take a look! He recommended our SmartJack Crawl Space Support System. This system provides solid support for undersized beams and restores stability and straightness to sagging floor joists in a crawl space. We also installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to assure them that their crawl space would stay dry!
Dennis was facing major foundation issues at his Salem home, including settlement along the front of the house and a large horizontal crack in a basement wall that had begun to bow inward. The structural movement had become a serious concern and required immediate attention to prevent further damage.
Toby and his crew installed a comprehensive foundation repair system to stabilize the home. Six Helical Piers were installed to support the settling foundation, while 16 GeoLock™ Wall Anchors and 7 PowerBrace™ Wall Support Beams were used to reinforce and stabilize the bowing basement wall. As shown in the after photos, the home is now structurally secure and protected from further settlement and wall movement for the long term.
