The chimney of this home in Earlysville had started to pull away from the home due to settlement of the foundation. The homeowner reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions to get that area of their home supported and stabilized.
Fortress went out and installed 3 Helical Piers to not only stabilize that chimney, but also lift it back to it's original position! Once installed the area will be backfilled and the piers will not be visible.
This crawlspace in Earlysville was leaking and moldy. The dirt floor was covered in a thin layer of plastic that did not stop water and mud from getting in. Fortress solved these problems by installing a CleanSpace Encapsulation with a SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump System to ensure that this crawlspace will stay clean and dry!
This sidewalk at this house in Earlysville was cracked and uneven. This is a tripping hazard that could cause injury if not taken care of. Fortress leveled this sidewalk by using the PolyLevel Injection System. Now the sidewalk is even and no longer a tripping hazard.
This basement had damp floors with small puddles. Their painted-on sealant chipped away over time, which caused water to come through the walls. Fortress Foundation Solutions installed a perimeter french drain and a TripleSafe sump pump system.
Daniel J. reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions after discovering standing water and moisture beginning to damage his wooden floor joists. Moisture-saturated insulation was also falling down in his crawl space. How could this be happening? He had laid down plastic over the ground and thought his crawl space would be protected. Many people don't think about the effects moisture has as it rises from the ground under their homes. If left untreated, the moisture will cause thousands of dollars' worth of damage in the future. Our Fortress System Designers help educate customers on protecting their home by providing printed materials, using video media, through conversation, and of course, providing a free estimate for repair. Daniel's crawl space needed EZ Flow drainage, a Smart Sump Sump Pump, CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. EZ Flow directs groundwater to the Smart Sump, which pumps the water outside the home. The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier seals off the home from the damp/wet ground below. The SaniDry Sedona removes excess moisture, keeping the area dry and protecting the wood. Daniel's home is his biggest asset. Why wouldn't he want to protect it with his custom solution from Fortress Foundation Solutions?
