We sent out one of our awesome System Designers to perform a full evaluation, and even without a hygrometer, the moisture intrusion was clearly apparent.

Our skilled foreman Nick and his crew were able to permanently waterproof the basement while minimizing disruption to the finished walls and flooring as much as possible. Now, the homeowners can confidently refinish their basement without concerns about mold growth or having to go through this process again.

Two weeks after moving into their dream home in Fairfax Station, this homeowner was greeted by an unexpected challenge—water intrusion in their basement following a bout of rain and snow. At a recent home show in Libertytown, MD, a homeowner shared concerns about sagging floors, launching us into action. As you can see in the before photo, their crawl space was in desperate need of care. Our team swept in with CleanSpace to seal and protect the area, SilverGlo insulation to keep temperatures steady, SaniDry Sedona for powerful dehumidification, and SmartJack for strong, secure floor support. Homeowner, John in Vienna Virginia noticed a vertical crack all throughout his front porch. as seen in the before photo. he knew that if he didnt seal the crack water would trickle in and casuse soil erosion and eventually sink. he reached out to Fortress as a preventative measure. Cara came out to evaluate the crack and noted very little soil eroison occuring under the slab and the homeowner was adament on just sealing the crack to prevent further void. John agreed with caras solution. Ethan and Samuel came out shortly after to properly seal the crack with a flexible, UV resistant caulk called nexus. now they homeowner has no worries and it looks better.

Cliff and Megan in Vienna, Virginia started noticing higher humidity in their home along with a light musty smell that wouldn’t go away. After some heavy rains, they suspected moisture might be building up in the crawl space and reached out to our team to schedule a FREE inspection. Our system designer evaluated the space and found ground moisture, poor drainage, and no proper barrier to protect the home from humidity.

After reviewing the proposal, Cliff and Megan decided to move forward with the work. Our crew installed an EZ Flow drainage system to direct water out of the crawl space, along with a SuperSump system to safely discharge any incoming water. We then sealed the area with a CleanSpace vapor barrier and added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control humidity.

Now, the crawl space is dry and sealed. Cliff and Megan can enjoy lower humidity, no musty odors, and a more comfortable living space.
