Sadie B. from McLean, VA reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions when she noticed significant settling of her sidewalk, concerned about potential safety hazards. Upon meeting with System Designer Kurtis Toppart, Sadie received a complimentary estimate for PolyLevel foam lifting. Subsequently, our PolyLevel installation crew arrived onsite to drill small holes in the sidewalk and administer the foam injection. After the sidewalk was successfully raised and leveled, the drilled holes were promptly filled with cement. Sadie can now enjoy peace of mind when entertaining guests or simply spending time in the front of her home, free from the worry of tripping hazards!
Kai J. reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions after discovering standing water and moisture beginning to damage his wooden floor joists. Moisture-saturated insulation was also falling down in his crawl space. How could this be happening? He had laid down plastic over the ground and thought his crawl space would be protected. Many people don't think about the effects moisture has as it rises from the ground under their homes. If left untreated, the moisture will cause thousands of dollars' worth of damage in the future. Our Fortress System Designers help educate customers on protecting their home by providing printed materials, using video media, through conversation, and of course, providing a free estimate for repair. Kai's crawl space needed EZ Flow drainage, a Smart Sump Sump Pump, CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. EZ Flow directs groundwater to the Smart Sump, which pumps the water outside the home. The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier seals off the home from the damp/wet ground below. The SaniDry Sedona removes excess moisture, keeping the area dry and protecting the wood. Kai's home is his biggest asset. Why wouldn't he want to protect it with a custom solution from Fortress Foundation Solutions?"
This Northwoods Trl, McLean, VA homeowner called Fortress Foundation Solutions needing more clean storage space. Their current crawl space was damp, dark and the storage containers would grow mold! System designer, Todd Simmons, was happy to meet with them, explain the encapsulation products and provide a free, same-day estimate. Ready to move forward, they agreed. Foreman, Edgar, and his crew were soon onsite installing drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep things dry. Now this crawl space is dry and the homeowner can enter the clean and bright area for loads of added storage space!
Fortress Foundation Solutions installed a series of PowerBraces to prevent further bowing in this customer's home. Over time, the braces can be tightened, and will eventually lead to a straightening of the affected wall.
This property in Westminster had a section of sidewalk that had sunken and was uneven, becoming a tripping hazard. Our System Designer went out and determined that our PolyLevel Injection System would be able to fix this problem. The foreman went out and strategically drilled holes in the concrete where injection ports were installed. Polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab. The holes and control joints are then sealed. NexusPro Crack Repair was used to seal all cracks and joints.
