This homeowner in Madison Heights had cracking in their foundation and reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns about their home's stability.
Fortress went out to this home and installed our GeoLock Wall Anchor System. The GeoLock Anchor System permanently stabilizes the foundation wall and, in many cases, can straighten the wall back toward its original position. Heavy-duty earth anchors are embedded in stable soil away from the foundation wall, and are then connected to steel anchors with long, galvanized rods. Once tightened, the anchors will hold the wall securely in its current position without any further adjustment.

The crack had a gap and had began to bow inward. Our System Designer was able to go out to this home and provide an estimate for a solution. The System Designer suggested our PowerBrace system. PowerBraces help to stabilize the wall and over time get the wall corrected to the original placement.

This home in Charlottesville had several stair-step cracks along the outside walls of the house. These cracks were cause by the house sinking and settling. Fortress helped this family out by installing several Push Piers along the outside of the the house to support and stabilize the foundation. Fortress dug a trench around the house, installed the Push Piers, then covered them back up. Pier installations are great for many homeowners because they are not visible after the installation.
