This basement wall of a home in Lynchburg was badly cracking and bowing, concerning the homeowner. They reached out to Fortress for a solution to get that wall stabilized and supported.
Our System Designer, Chris Wilmouth, went out to evaluate this home and recommended installing our Geo-Lock Channel Anchor System to repair that foundation wall.
The Geo-Lock Channel Anchor System permanently stabilizes and repairs bowing or tilting foundation walls. The system includes galvanized steel earth anchors, which embed in stable soil outside your foundation walls. When the installation is complete, all inward movement is halted, and there is an opportunity for a long-term straightening of your foundation walls.

This Lynchburg basement had a bowing and cracked wall that needed to be addressed. If left alone the wall could eventually fail and crumble leaving this family in great distress. Fortress helped this family by installing CarbonArmor Straps to stabilize the wall. These straps can be tightened over time to straighten the wall.
Fortress Foundation Solutions installed a series of PowerBraces to prevent further bowing in this customer's home. Over time, the braces can be tightened, and will eventually lead to a straightening of the affected wall.
